Wedding Bells

BRUMBY —COLLINS'. A quiet and private, but very pretty wedding was celebrated at "The Gorge, ” Taupiri, on Wednesday, when Miss R., C. Collins, youngest d uighter of the late Mr Wm. Collins, and Mr L. J. Brumby, Auckland, were united in the bonds of matrimony, the officiating clergyman being the Rev. Mr Richards, The bride, who was prettily attired in grey silk beautifully trimmed with Oriental laee, and who wore the customary veil and wreath of orange blossom, was given away by her brother, Mr G. Collins, and was attended by Miss Marcia Windsor and Miss Olive Hamblin, both of whom wore pretty white silk dresses, while Mr H. Brumby acted as best man. After the ceremony, some thirty guests participated in the sumptuous wedding breakfast when the usual toasts were duly honoured, the health of the bride being proposed by Mr A. Hamblin in a particularly neat speech. The happy pair left for Auckland immediately after, the bride wearing a handsome navy serge costume and a white felt hat with large ostrich plumes. Among the ladies present at the wedding were Mrs Collins, mother of the bride, who was attired in black silk ; Mrs Brumby, mother of the bridegroom, who wore a handsome brown cloth costume ; Mrs L. Collins,Saxe bluo cloth ; Mrs Hamblin, brown silk; Mrs Willoughby; cream silk ; and Miss Mohr, grey voile. The young couple were the recipient of many useful and value' presents, several of them tak the form of cheques. TO THE EDITOR.
