Lyceum Pictures.

MINERS’ HALL, TO-NIGHT. The word Lyceum guarantees perfection in picture projection, a fact borne out in many ways as a visit to the Miners’ Hall will prove. To-night a versatile progrannne of the best subjects from the world’s best producers will be screened and will yield to none in popularity and excellence. The star feature is entitled “ The Pretty Ward” by the famous Cines Co., the makers of “Qu Vadis,” and it tells the story of a girl’s trials in trying to save her brother’s honour and how she manages to outwit a villain —a truly human drama. A special film of the Great Northern Steeplechase will be shown as an extra to the programme—this will he most interesting to all the sports, as it was recently run at Ellerslie. The supporting pictures will satisfy the most fastidious. This Saturday a great standard programme containing Vitagraph’s remarkable special “ The Outlaw ” will be shown. This is a play of the virile and vigorous west and contains a realistic story of wild life in the Cherokee Indian Territory. It consists of sensational episodes in the life of an outlawed thief and will supply patrons with endless thrills during its screening. Tiie auxiliary pictures contain a splendid series of diversifi »d subjects of great merit and infinite interest, the whole forming a truly delightful evening’s entertainment which is guaranteed to he to the standard of Lyceum value. The usual midweek change of programme next Tuesday, further particulars of which will be given in the hall on Saturday. Seats for Dress Circle may be reserved at Huntly Press.
