Huntly Hibernians.
The usual fortnightly meeting of the Huntly Hibernians was held in the Convent School last Sunday evening, when Brn W. Darby presided over a record attendance. Some important business was transacted during the course of the meeting, while the spirited discussions which eventuated on the different subjects at issue were a pleasing feature of the evening—a feature which proved that the enthusiasm of Lodge members is growing rapidly, and That, in the near future, the St. Anthony Branch will compare favourably with any district branch in the North Island. The President, after explaining the business of the meeting, called for nominations for the various offices for the ensuing half-year, the ballot for which will take place at the first meeting in July. Various correspondence was received and dealt with. It was decided to attend Holy Communion in. a Lody and in regalia on Sunday, 21st June.
