Our Pukemiro correspondent states that on Friday night. Mr J Furness, a settler in the Ruawaro district, delivered a political address in the Waikokowai school, Mr A. Jamieson presiding over an attenlance of sixteen. The speaker stated that he possessed political aspirations, and, given a favourable reception in the district in which he lived and was well known, he would at the next general election offer himself as an independent candidate for the Raglan electorate.
