School Committee.
ANNUAL ELECTION. As would be seen from the advrtisement which appeared in last ssae the annual meeting of louseholders will be held in the District School on Monday evanit 7 o’clock. So far no tiominaious have bee.i received, while ho members of tho old comnittee appear chary of submiting themselves for re-election, he duties of a school committee icing so few and unimportant liat they have become almost logligibl o. The promised amendneuts to the Education Act, no loubt, will give committees more lower and increased reSponsibiities, so that with these in view he apathy previously apparent nay be dissipated on Monday light. The welfare of the rising jenoration should appeal to >arents who will likely be precut at the meeting in large lumbers, though “tickets” are ibsent and controversial matters ion-existent.
