Rival Medical Societies.
THE BOOKS SURRENDERED. AttheS.M. Court on Friday last, the Waikato Medical and Accident Society, together with the trustees, Messrs AlberUßerry and John Kerr, sued Messrs Edwin Modre, George Mathie, Wil - liam Wood, and David Molesworth, senr., who acted as trustees for the old society that existed prior to the recent strike, for possession of the Minute, Cash and Post Office Savings Bank Books, the total value of the whole being assessed at £l. Mr G. M. Newton appeared for the plaintiffs, and Mr J. Robertson for the defendants. On the case being called, the latter who had only been instructed that morning, stated that lie had no defence, and that his clients were willing to hand over the books claimed. Thus,a case that was expected to prove of considerable interest, came to a somewhat abrupt conclusion. The matter of costs as brought up by Mr Newton was deferred.
