Cake and Candy Fair.
lii order to raise funds for their bazaar, which will eventuate shortly, the ladies of the Presbyterian Church Guild held a Ca cefand Candy Fair in the church grounds last Saturday. When business began the table over which was suspended a welcome awning, not only looked well, but literally groaned under the supplies of comestibles w hich were by no means confined to cake and candy, but included eatables of all sorts which thefculinary skill of the ladies concerned or of tlieir friends could suggest. Thi part of the fair Was under the' charge of Mesdames T. Black, Richards, Shantfand Starr, assisted by a number of juveniles, while the afternoon tea arrangements were entrusted to Mesdanies Burt and Geo. Shaw. The fair was so well patronised that double figures will enable the ladies to procure the material required for their next effort.
