Mrs Kay's guests left by Monday’s express. Mrs Crowder, Senr. is at present on the invalid List. Miss May Crowder, from Rotorua is spending a holiday in Huntiy.
Miss Foote, Matahuru, proceeded to the Waikato Hospital on Thursday. Dr Monk, of the Health Department, visited Huntiy last Wednesday.
Dr Cleary, Catholic Bishop of Auckland, was in Huntiy on Sunday, and again on Monday. Mr W. Smith, Deputy at
Ralph’s Mine, leaves for the city to-morrow on his, annual holiday. Mr A. Jamieson, who has been on the sicY list for some days, is making an excellent recovery.
Mr Butcher, organiser of the Catholic Federation, arrived in Huntiy on Wednesday, and next evening addressed a meeting of members of St. Anthony’s Church
Mr R. McEwan having suffered a relapse, is again confined to bed. His daughter, Miss McEwan, arrived during last week, and is devoting a portion of her holiday to nursing duty.
Mr, Mrs and Miss Hore, from Mornington, Dunedin, are at present visiting Mr and Mrs J. V. Johnson, Hakanoa Street. The visitors express themselves delighted with the river scenery of the district.
Mr Thompson, who with his wife arrived in the town last Saturday night, started duty in Messrs Green and Colebrook's store in succession to Mr F. J. Cox at the beginning of the week. As Mr Thompson is a great dogfancier he will be a decided acquisition to the ranks of the Kennel and Poultry Club.
