Lyceum Pictures,

MINERS’ HALL, TO-NIGHT. r Of all the influences that have ( broadened the people’s outlook v none can compare with moving , pictures. Every subject under the sun is dealt with by the übiquitous camera-man, and during the comparatively short time picture theatres have been in existence the quota of knowledge which they ' have been instrumental in disseminating cannot be estimated. . That the moving picture habit lias come to stay in Huntly is quite evident from the satisfied audiences that frequent the Lyceum Pictures every week. ? To-night the management announce another super-excellent I programme, featuring a sensa- J tional and powerful drama entitled “The Hidden Message ” in which some exciting events, such as a chase by motor, motor boat, and aeroplane takes place. The star picture is supported by an Indian cowboy romance entitled “ White Gazelle’s Error,” which should please the young people. The latest Topical Gazette and the usual supporting dramas and comedies make up a programme of exceptional interest. In addition to the above the management wish to announce that Mr Fred Knapper will sing “ Why Did They Sell Killarney?” a \ beautiful sentimental and patrio- t tic ballad which should appeal especially to those who hail fr m “Erin’s Isle.” This song will he illustrated while being sung with a set of beautifully coloured slides by the Chicago Transparency Co. No doubt a good house will reward the Company’s enterprise. A grand change of programme is announced for r Saturday when the stirring and sensational 3000 ft drama, “ Zigo- r mar and the Eel’s Skin’* will he 1 screened. There are many in- < tensely .exciting scenes in the d picture, and it is well worth viewing. A fine variety of films h support the star. This pro- v gramme will ho repeated next s Monday to suit these unable to attend this week.
