Mr Hovv/oodV. motion to the effect that the financial year of the branch end on the 31st January, and the annual genera! meeting be he'd during the month of February was carried, the meeting of this year to be held on hhies lay, 2-jth lust. Mr Dixon moved that Mr Massey and his ministers be congratulated on the firm stand they had taken during the recent industrial trouble the action of the Government during the crisis being in the best interests of the country.
