A general mee'.ing of the members of t!ie lltint!y b. a nch of tho Reform L ague was held in the King’s Hall on Tuesday evening, Mr H. R. Porter presiding over a large attendance. Correspondence \.as received re the Reform Year Book and League’s journal, " Liglit and Liberty,” and i rom Mr Bollard concerning the annual confer once. Mr Dixon, who attended the conference in Wellington on behalf of tho Huntly branch, g ive a rep proceedings. Mr Dixon was unanimously thanked for his exhaustive report which was unanimously adopted. Mr Hovv/oodV. motion to the effect that the financial year of the branch end on the 31st January, and the annual genera! meeting be he'd during the month of February was carried, the meeting of this year to be held on hhies lay, 2-jth lust. Mr Dixon moved that Mr Massey and his ministers be congratulated on the firm stand they had taken during the recent industrial trouble the action of the Government during the crisis being in the best interests of the country. The motion which was seconded by Mr R. Niceolls, was carried
