How to get a Post Card from the North Pole.

[Continued from page 1

No doubt stamp-collectors will quickly monopolise the supply of cards made available for Australasia, but apart from their plrilaI telic value they will be eagerly ! sought by readers simply as | North Pole souvenirs. If Captain Amundsen reaches the North I Pole these cards may become 1 very valuable, and every parent j should send one card at least ! wandering among the Polar ice |in the name of boy or girl. As a j souvenir it is worth it, but as | a means of interesting and edu- | taing the young folk it will be i invaluable. ] The publisher of “ Life ” and “ Everylady’s Journal” has been asked by Captain Amundsen to handle the distribution of these cards throughout Australisia. Each card costs 2,6 post free to the buyer. To secure one or more cards, ask your newsagent, or send 2 ; 6 in stamps or postal note for each card, addressed to T. Shaw Eitcliett, Dept. N., 376 Swanstoh Street, j Melbourne. With eacli card will I be sent full instructions how to | send it on to the “ Fram.” All ! orders must reach Melbourne before February 15th, 1914, to make certain of catching the “ Fram. ” When remitting, simply state : “ Send North Pole Card ” [or cards], and give full name and postal address. It must be clearly understood . that these cards are bought at the purchaser’s risk, for the “ Fram ” may be wrecked, or Amundsen never return. But | this chance is remote, and any J buyer who follows the simple | conditions given with each card is I almost certain to receive a post | card from the North Pole itself, if Amundsen gets there —cards that eventually may be worth many times the cash now asked for them.
