Fishermen state that as the trout are no longer feeding on the beetle, the prospects of better catches by means of the inanga are brighter. Mr Geo. A very enjoyable concert and dance was held in the Miners’ Hall on Thursday night, the floor was in good condition and (he excellent music supplied by the usual orchestra was all that could be desired. Mr J. Littler and Mr R. Tomkins acting as M.C. It will be noticed that Mr Coyle, after a somewhat prolonged interval, makes a new start with his living pictures in the King’s Hall on Saturday night. “ The Two Spies ’’ which forms the central attraction, will prove well worthy the attendance of patrons who are sure of a capital night’s entertainment.
