Huntly Hibernians.
The usual fortnightly meeting nf the Huntly Hibernians was held in Father Cahill’s residence on Tuesday night:, Mr W. Darby presiding ovr • a good attendance. After the usual routine business it was resolved on the motion of Bro. T. McGill that the members of the Lodge attend in regalia and in body at the laying of the foundation stone of the new church at Ngaruawahia on Sunday next when Bishop Cleary will officiate. The question of a reception for the Bishop was discussed at length, as it was the intention of the Society to present to his Lordship, on behalf of the con gregation,sometangiblemomento as a remembrance of his visit to Huntly. After the Rev. Father Cahill had briefly explain.' 1 th ■ programme of the visit, the I meeting decided that there j would 1*? no time for a pros illation or reception as Bishop ; Cleary is due in Ngaruawahia at 2.30 p.m.
