Tn.•atari!, a flax-worker at Oninowai, was charged (1) with boing guilty of disorderly! b diaviour in the Huntly Railway j station while drunk, and (2) with assulting George McNeil, a porter, by striking him twice on the face with li is clenched fist. The accused pleaded guilty to i both charges. From the evidence-of C instable Ingram it appeared that the de; end? nt out? red the railway office and demanded a ticket for Ohi:ic\vai. On being told that the ticket* box was closed, and that he wa* much too early for tli 3 train. Turuturu became most abusive, and as porter McNeil was endeavouring to eject him, defendant struck him twice, following him roundHhe counter to do so. it was only with the assistance of tiie staff that he was ultimately ejected.
