A meeting of the m of the Brass Band was 1 Mr J. Brooks’ saloon jon Wednesday evening, for the purpose of t iking steps to resuscitate the institution. Mr J. Boyd wi > was elected secretary pro / was requested t > arrange f>r a room in which t? hoi 1 practice;, and to wait on Mr J. P. Bailey, trustee for the Band, and ask him‘to convene a meeting of members and all interested in the welfare of doe band with a vi V to an immediate start, there being every prospect of sec tri ig the services erf a highly cipible conductor.
