FIRST OHAUPO SHEEP FAIR We held our first Ohaupo Sheep fair on Tuesday la*t, the 16th inst., when we had a full yarding. The class of sheep offered were better than thue | off *red at previous sales, and competition throughout was good. Any lines passed in at the sale were quitted privately. We quote : Shorn lambs. 610 to 86; woolly ditto, 5 3 to 9 2 ; fat lambs, 13 6; 2-tooth wethers, 11 6 to 15 ; 4-tooth wethers, 14 6 to 16 ; 2-tooth ewes, 12 3 to 14 6; extra good 14 8 to 15 2; 4-tooth ewes, 12 1 to 15 2; 6-tooth ewes, 15 10 j t > 16 6 ; ffm ewes, 12 to 13 1 ; small ewes, 10 1 to 10 7; old i ewes, 6 9 to 7 10. TE AROIIA STOCK SALE. We report having held our opening sale in the Te Aroha yards on Friday the 21st inst., when there was a full yarding and a record attendance. Bidding was brisk throughout and all lines submitted changed hands under the hammer. There was a good demand for weaner calves, which advanced in price. We quote : Good steer calves, £T 17 to £2 9 ; medium quality, do, £1 2 to £1 15 ; poor cajves and had colours, 11 to £1 ; jersey and holstein heifer calves, £1 15 to £2 2 ; shorthorn heifer calves, £1 8 to £1 19 ; bull calves, 12 to £2 10 ; fat cows, £5 10 to £6 6 ; forward empty cows, £4 5 to £5 ; store cows. £3 12 6 to £4: weighty bulls, £5 10 to £7 3 ; yearling heifers, £3 2 ; yearling steers, £3 5 ; dairy cows, £4 10 to £4 18 ; 2-tooth ewes, 14 1; old rams, 10 6 ; weaner, pigs 5 to 8 ; slips 13 ; 2-year old unbroken filly, £27 10 ; medium draught gelding, £l2 to £l7 ; 5-year old heavy draught gelding, £2O 10 ; set of harness £2 2 .
