Judging by the programme tiie committee appointed by the Scots' Society have spared neither trouble iv a- expense in providing an array of talent for their first equeert which will take place in the Miners’ l nion hall Oil Monday' night. The fare provided will be essentially national, an 1. though the ent-c----tainment will appeal especially to Scotsmen, the talents of the various artists will, no doubt, captivate those who are not fortunate enough to be able to claim the " Land o! the Mountain and the Flood " as their " Ain Country ". Among those whose services have been requisitioned are Pipers Clothier and Pagett, Miss Polly Maclaren, who, by the way, holds the Scottish championship for Highland dancing, Master Hatcrow, Madame Baldwin, Miss William;. Mr J. G. Harp, and Mr J. Devine, while Mr Dan Wiison will he responsible for the broad comedy. Everything points to a successful and enjoyable evening, while a bumper house will heartily respond to the committee’s invitation to" Cornea’ thegithcr ”,
