We regret to hear that Master Philip Starr, of the local Post Office staff, is at present an invalid. Mr. G. M. Frazer, who was accompanied by Mrs. Frazer, left Huntly during the week to inspect the wharf and bridge contrac*s which he lias at Young’s, Point, Otamatea. A miner named W. Burt, while mending a rati in the Extended mine, belonging to Taupiri Coal Mines Co., was injured last week by a fall of
i v ttouui icwt. ne was found t > be suffering from ! lac3rat?d wounds on arms and lags, and severe bruises on the back. After being attended by Dr. Macdiarmid. he was taken home. We learn before going to to press that the patient is progressing favourably.
