On Wednesday evening 18th ill'l., tiie first skating carnival ever held in the mining town will take place in the King’s Nall. For the most original costumes worn by the skaters, the proprietor, Mr Zainey, is offering two fine prizes which can he seen in the window of ! the iluntly Book Shop. Skating has become most popular, the demand for skates being j very largely in excess of the supply. Every afternoon and evening the floor i- fully occupied, the gyrations of the adepts being much admired, and the antics of the novices causing much amusement. Mr Zainey’s pictures also continue to draw good houses, the name •‘Princess’* being synonymous with all that is new and noyel in this for hi of entertainment. Back numbers being rigidly eschewed, patrons appreciate the enterprise of tho.lessee, and patronise him accordingly. Any night and every night good amusement can bo had at the “ King’s. ” 'P
