INCENDIARISM AT GISBORNE.

GISBORNE, December 30
•Aft attempt was made last night to burn down the S and E cash store in Gladstone Road. The fire was discovered by th 2 . nightwatchman in a storeroom at the back of the premises. A hole had been knocked in the window, through which matches had been thrown on to inflammable material.
The brigade suppressed the fire /before much damage was done.
