ALLEGED BY OXFORD STUDENTS COMPLAINT AGAINST POLICE. OXFORD/ December 27. Many undergraduates who attended j Sir Oswald Mosley’s meeting at Oxford Town Hall are nursing their injuries as the result cf their conflict with London Fascists.. in view of the allegations made, the principal of Buskin College, Mr A. Barnett Brown, and a tutor, Mr J. L. Etty, to-day took sworn statements lrcm some of the injured men; ' These affidavits are to be sent to the chief constable of Oxford, Mr; C. R. Fox, and he is to be asked why the police took no action in regard to alleged Fascists brutality, even after they had booh - asked to do so. Some of the statements were as follows: No. I—“A1 —“A man who got up to speak was surrounded by five Fascists and hustled cut of ~ the hall. While lie was held by four Fascists a fifth injured his nose, causing it to. bleed profusely.” Np .2—“ An undergraduate, who protested against Sir Oswald’s reference to • •‘so-called gentlemen' who won’t fight for King and country,’ was ’ set upon by four Fascists and hit'on the back of the head.” 1

THROWN DOWN STAIRS. No 3—“ An undergraduate who got up to speak was attacked by four Fascist's and lie and o man who four ’Fascists and lie and a-map who banged on the stone floor. One l of the men was found lying °at the bottom of the steps having been thrown down them.” •; _ No o—“A Buskin student was attacked by six Fascists, who, after asking him, ‘Have you been distributing that I filthy literature?” struck him, causing his face to bleed, while a policeman who was appealed to by the crowd to interfere would not do so.” No G-—“ Fascists deliberately dug their nniis into the forehead of a Red Shirt.” Two of the men who made those statement had to receive hospital treatment.
