MUNITION WORKERS POISONED

(Received this day at 2.30 p.m.) HALSINGFORS, December 28.

The Minister of Defence (M. Oksala), stated that Colonel Asplund, of the biggest munition factory in Finland who died in April, 1932, was poisoned. A powerful espionage group with headquarters at Helingfors is believed to he connected with the French spies recently arrested. M. Oksala adds that three others connected with the factory were poisoned and the lives of other army technicians were attempted. Twenty persons have been arrested, including a young and-attractive girl whom a high officer employed.
