REMARKABLE TALE

DRAKE AND QUEEN ELIZABETH

ALLEGED SECRET MARRIAGE

NEW YORK, December 8

Evidence of an alleged secret marriage between Sir Francis Drake and Queen Elizabeth is to be presented by the defence during the trial of Oscar M. Hartzell, in Sioux City, lowa, on charges of fraud in connection with a fund for financing claims to the “Drake millions.”

More than 1000 people have come from all parts of the United States, England, and Canada to watch the proceedings. Thousands of victims of Hartzell’s alleged fraud have gathered at Sioux City to await developments. They are divided into two camps—believers and non-believers.

One of the attorneys for the defence is Paul 31. Young, an American graduate of Oxford University. Young invested money in Hartzell’s scheme.

Hartzeii’s amazing story of Elizabeth’s marriage will be used to prove bis ancestry. He will state that a son of Elizabeth and Drake came to America, and that he is a direct descendant of their son.
