TWO KILLED
MOTHER AND SON ELECTROCUTED
INVERCARGILL, December 25
A woman and her married son were electrocuted early this evening \yhen a motor-car, containing three adults and thr§e children, collided with an electric power pole on the main road near Winton racecourse.
The dead are:—Mrs Jukes/sen., aged eight-three ; Henry Junkes, her son, aged fifty Two. Four of the occupants of the car, Mi’s Jukes, jun., aged about thirty, and her three children, Bryan (aged nine months), Ronald (six years) and Vera (eight years)' were admitted to the hospital, Hie woman suffering from serious head injuries, and the children .from minor hurts. •

A farmer nearby was attracted to the scene by screams. He attempted to ■pull the car back from the pole, .hul (received a severe shock and burns.
The car was badly damaged through contact with a live wire.
