SOUTH 'WESTLAND ASSOCIATION

A • meeting of the committee, of the South Westland 'Medical Association was held in the Watar-Oa School-room, on Tuesday- evening,' when there were present the Rev. R-. Newcombe. (chairman),, G. McDonald. W. S.earle junr., .(Harihari), ’M.- iSulliyan (Weheka), Af. Graham, T-. Green (Waiho), N; Brown, PC-Miley, E. Best and A;-*Dewar (Wa* taroa). Apologies were received from Messrs J. McKay and Is. Williams.Mr- E. Best was appointed .to act as secretary during Mr Dewar's absence. ■M.r Brown outlined the result of the deputation to the We’Stland Hospital Board. > : • On the motion, of Mr- Sullivan and, Mr P. Miley it was decided that the, offered subsidy, of. .£225, .be accepted. An amendment by Messrs Best and’ Dewar that the .Association accept the £225, . but ask to have the original petition reviewed when the Board is preparing the estimates for the next year, was. lost., y.
