CAR EMBEDDED IN THE SAND

AUCKLAND, December 20

A car owned, by the Rev W. A. Scott, of Kohukohu, became embedded in the sand on Ninety-mile Beach and was caught by the tide. Mr Scott was on a visit to the beach, and stopped his car oh the'sand. When he attempted to leave the beach the 'car gradually became embedded in tho sand, and. as the tide was rising rapidly Mr Scott' had to abandon the car.. The rollers soon swept over the car, rolling it over several times and causing much damage. ,
