FEDERAL LOAN

A SUCCESSFUL CONVERSION

CANBERRA, December 21

The Prime Minister, Rt. Hon. J. Lyons, expressing his gratification at the success of the recent loan conversion of £16,647,000 of which, the interest yield is £3 16s 9d, compared to £3 17s lid with the former conversion, said that the Commonwealth would save £304,000 , a year in interest and exchange. He added that only £17,854,850 o,f high interest Australian loan remain to be converted to lower interest.
