The Privy Council has decided, in view of the present conditions, that it is impossible to ratify treaties of tjhe fifteenth and sixteenth . international labour -conferences, limiting the hours, and protection of labourers.
LOADED TRUCKS LEAVE RAILS
ADELAIDE. December 20
A further derailment occurred at the Stur,fc station to-day. Fourteen loaded trucks left, the track, eight being telescoped/ and considerable damage was done- to the- remaining rolling stock. Nobody was injured.

The Government ds having great difficulty in finding three super-men for the commission to bring order out of chaos in 1 the 'bankruptcy of Newfoundland. Mr Malcolm “ MacDonald told the House of Commons that he was searching every conceivable list, including the Dominion, Colonial and ■lndian services, but thus far without ■result, and persons outside service are 'being considered, and he invited members to Submat''names of suitable can- , didates.
