A message from Columbia, Tennessee, states a, negro youth, Coicl Check, 5 was lynched to-day after being discharged by the Grand Jui\ on a charge of attacking a young white rri,’], His body was found hanged to a tree. The officials knew nothing of the lynching until notified afterwards by t'l< phone. Apparently a siniil band executed the hanging without bothering to arouse the countryside.
