The Commons sat through the night discussing the Newfoundland Bill. Mr Maxton moved an ariiehdement that the revocation of the present administration of Newfoundland should he subject to the approval of the Dominions.

Mr. J. H. Thomas said it was not th e Government’s duty to consult the Dominions on the matter, it being purely between Newfoundland and this country. The amendment was'*' negatived by 208 votes, to 38. The Government frequently used the closure. .
