AMERICAN TEAM FOR AUSTRALIA
(United Press Association—By Eiectrii Telegraph—Copyright).
NEW YORK, December 14
A message from 'St. Petersburgh, Florida, states Mr Harlow informed the Australian Press Association he is negotiating with Australian golf officials to have the American Professional Golf Association send a team to Australia to participate in the open tournament at Melbourne centenary, and a team match against Australians, the tour depending on satisfactory financial arrangements being made. ,
He said .he had communicated his terms to Australia, but had not had. time to receive an answer yet. He said that if the dates were arranged so that the Americans could leave in the middle of October and return to America by January 1, 1935, it was very likely that they could get from oight to ten players to make the trip. Many leading golfers, including Kirkwood, were all interested.
