LONDON, December 13
Investigations following on the death of Sir Henry Birken, the ralcing motorist baronet. cabled ton May 22, have revealed the astonishing disappearance of a fortune of over two million" sterling within eleven years. Sir Thomas Birken, the father of the racing motorist, died in 1931, (leaving £137,825, while 'Sir Henry Birken, the third Baronet, left only £6439. The original Birken fortune was bade by the first Baronet, a Nottingham lace manufacturer, who died in 1922.
