Negligence by a legal . firm representing, her in an application for relief under ' the Mortgagors Relief Act was alleged in the Supreme Court to-day by Mrs Marie .Josephine Searle. Her claim for £4OO damages was disallowed by Mr Justice Blair, and judgment was given lor the defendant firm, Messrs Perry, Perry and Pape.

Mr Page, S.M., committed to the Supreme Court for trial, Benjamin Kirkbride, who pleaded not guilty to a charge of assaulting Clifford Baxter so as to cause actual bodily harm. The alleged assault took place on August 26. A witness, Robert Wilson, gave it as his opinion that Baxter slipped and broke his leg through a pure accident.
