GISBORNE, December 14

An indication that the matter would have to be referred to the Crown prosecutor was given by the Official Assignee (Mr Nalder), at the conclusion of the re-examination of Thomas Goodall, a bankrupt freezing-worker, of PareaJf; the first meeting of creditors Cocdall, who was made bankrupt on the creditors’ petition, stated .lie had lost approximately .£4OO in three nights at two up, .and, as he was unable to give any information as to the locality of the two-up school, or the names of other players, the meeting was adjourned till yesterday, to enable him to supply that information. Yesterday lie was still unable to enlighten the meeting and when a list of known two-up players was submitted to him by counsel for petitioning creditors, he stated they were all unfamiliar to him.

The meeting- was further adjourned for a week to enable him to endeavour to locate other players. “The position is extremely unsatisfactory,’’ s aid the Assignee. “It seems obvious .at the moment that the matter will have to be referred to tbe Crown Prosecutor,- and I would like to be able to do so in the fullest form possible. What bankrupt h?,s given so far, is of no value at Ml.”
