A verdict on points was secured by Ted Oxley, 9>3)j (PMuMua), over Archie Hughes, 9,3} (AvuM&nd), in a bright, clean, even IS round bout at Hastings this evening, 01% thus retained the Now Zealand lightweight title and belt. The bout was one of the best seen hero for years, being extremely even throughout, and -he margin in favour of Oxley .being very small. The judges disagreed.

In a bout for the heavy weight title of New South Wales: to-night, Jock McDonald gained the decision on a foul in the twelfth round over Pietro Spagnola.
At the Leichhardt Stadium, Jimmy Purcell obtained a points decision 1 over the Canadian, Billy Potric, in a twelve liglit-woighfc bouj.
