PENNY TRAM SECTIONS

AUCKLAND, December 12
The Transport Board to-day resolved to establish a penny fare section in Queen Street between the Post Office and Wel’esby Street. The decision was in direct opposition to the report by the manager, who estimated the change would cause a revenue l° ss of £3668 per annum.
The Board decided to try the penny sections as an experiment until January 30
