After a brief rest, however, he resumed work, but a. little latter complained that his neck was painful, and shortly after he became unconscious. OUTBOARD MOTOR EXPLODES?
WELLINGTON, December ll
Two men were injured by the explosion of an outboard motor at Titahi Bay yesterday afternoon. J. Davis, farm manager, sustained internal injuries and ■a severe wound in the chest, and J. F. B. Stevenson, solicitor, a compound fracture of the right arm.
NINE YEAR. OLD BOY DROWNED GISBORNE, December 10.
A half-caste Maori, Peter Burgess, aged nine, was drowned at Tolago Bay yesterday afternoon, haying got into difficulties while bathing with a party of children. His companions ran for assistance, but when this was forthcoming, the lad had disappeared The body was recovered later.
