The secretary of the local unemployment Committee submitted the following report of work performed during November with a resume of the woik from January to November, 1933,' given in parentheses: — 4A Contracts (farm workers)- —Application received 6 '(145); granted 5 (115) ; pending 4 ; declined 3; vouchers issued 42 (591). •
4B Contracts:—Applications received 14 (116); granted 7 (12 men), 96 (163 men) ; pending 9. .. . *>o/ ' No. 5 Scheme.—The tota^amount-:re-quired for a full allocation ffbr-Novem-ber war, £639 and £368 o r '57.6 percent, was received. The. percentage received in October was 63.9 while that for the ■period January to November, 1933 averaged 71.5. Men employed on Board’s scheme at November 30, those at January 1 being shown in parentheses : —No. 5 129 (294); No. 4A 38) (57) ; 4B 50 -(25); goldmining 105 (32);. trackworkers 30 (—) ; totals 1352 (408).
