The Bill would permit divorce for either party on any of the following grounds: Adultery, desertion for three years; cruelty; a certified lunatic for five years; or an incurable drunkard; at least three years’ separation, or the undergoing of imprisonment under a commuted death sentence. The Court also would be empowered to presume death after seven years’ absence.
