FORECAST AT NOON TO-DAY. An intense anti-cyclone is now centred east of New Zealand. Barometers are falling over the Tasman Sea, but the lowest pressure is still to the north.
The forecast is for light to moderate and variable winds, ■with northerlies gradually predominating. Weather fine with mild temperatures. Seas smooth to moderate.
