CHILD DROWNED IN WELL.

WELLINGTON, November 29
Falling into an ■ old well at Miramar this afternoon, Ronald Paterson, aged four and a-half, sdn of Mr and Mrs E. A. Paterson, Wexford Road, was drowned. Ronald and his sister Patrica were playing on a section close to the gasworks. Patricia returned home alone, and a subsequent search revealed Ronald’s body, floating face downwards, in eight feet of water.
WOMAN’S BODY RECOVERED
CHRISTCHURCH, November 29,
The body of Mrs Rosa Boyle, the wife of Mr A. P. Boyle, who had been missing since Friday, when she disappeared lifter, bathing in the Waiao River, .fvas found to-day about fifteen miles down the- stream from the place where she; is believed to have been drowned. ,An inquest was opened at Culverden .to-night and wa ;S adjourned to Christchurch.
