WEDDING BELLS
PATERSON—GOAD The wedding took place on Monday ■at Holy Trinity Church, Kumara- of Flossie, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs Goad, to Leonard, son of, Mr anct Mrs Paterson, .of Hokitika, [dev W. Hamilton officiated, assisted [by the Rev J. W; Knights, of Hokitika. The church was tastefully decorated by girl friends of the bride. Miss Evenden was the organist. The bride, who was' escorted by her father, wore a beautiful grown of ivory satin beaute made tight fitting to the hips and falling in graceful folds to the hem line. 'The neck was finished with a cowl collar tied to the back. Her embroidered tulle veil fell from a tiny cap oultined with orange blossom and fell over the frock to form a train. She carried a bouquet of pale pink roses.
The bridesmaid, Miss Harkness, wore a becoming frock of white georgette with a pretty shoulder cape of scarlet and white finished at the neck with scarlet .buttons. She wore a scarlet summer felt hat and scarlet satin shoes. Mr Wright of Hokitika, was best man and Mr Colin Goad was
groomsman, A -reception was held at the bride’s parent’s residence. Mrs Goad received her giiests, wearing a black diagonal Clc-tii costuhie relieved with white and a smart black, alid white hat. She carried rt red posy. Later the bride and bridegroom left on their wedding tour by car to Nel-son-eii route to the North Island, The bride’s travelling frock was delphinium blue. crinkly crepe, with a small biege hat with touches of blue, and she carried a smart navy' tailored coat.

7‘he bride who was'escorted by her father, wore an ankle-length* frock of pink georgette and lace, mad© on simple lines with lace yoke and long puff sleeves. The skirt Was panelled at the sides, and the bodice of the frock was finished with a georgette bow. -Sho - carried a sheaf of white carnations, pink roses and lilies.
The chief bridesmaid was Miss Jenny ' Wright', who wore a frock of pink georgette, made on similar lines to the 1 bride’s frock, the short puff sleeves being finished with pink-mit-tens. ■ She carried a bouquet of apricot and pink roses. Misses R. Raifferty and Betty Johnston were flowergirls, and Joyce Bansgrove was train-bearer. The bridegroom was attended by Air John Alinehin.
