• Governor Holph 1 . said, to-day that the lynching of the confessed kidnappers and murderers of Hart, should result is fewer kidnappings throughout the country. At the same time, he revealed his refusal to call troops to pretfcnt tho lynching. He assorted:— “That -was a- flue lesson to the whole nation. There will bo loss kidnapping in the country now. If- anyone is arrested for a good job, I will pardon them all.” - ’

The Governor’s attitude towards kidnappers was further expressed in a statement that he would like to parole to the citizens of San Jose all the inmates of San Quentin arid Folsom prisons who had been convicted of kidnapping. . '
