Even a more intensive search of the country surrounding Racecourse Hotel, Riccarton, in quest of the u r eapon with which, the licensee, Donald Fraser, was shot dead iu his bed last Friday morning, was instituted by the police today. Thirty constables and nine detectives set to work at 5 a.m. to comb the racecourse grounds and two electric pumps were installed to drain i small lake of pond on the racecourse, although this water had been previously searched by the police with waders and, grapnels.
