Figures for the overseas trade of New Zealand for October 1933 show exports were valued at £2,378,855 and imports at £1,854,223. For the correspondug period last year the figures were £2,401,178 and £1,847,532 respectively. For the period of ten months ended October 1933, the exports were valued, at £34 217,648, and imports at £17,578,487. The balance in terms of New Zealand currency, excluding specie was £12,684,000. For the same period in 1932 the figures were £31,087,830. £18,913,231 ’ and £9,514,000 respectively. The values recorded for exports .are the declared f.o.h, values in terms of New Zealand currency, while the values recorded, for imports are the current domestic values in the countries of export plus ten per cent.
