WELLINGTON, November 23
A meeting composed of representatives of dairy companies jof both isumcis, desirous of forming a Free Marketing Association to act independently of the Dairy Board, was held to-day. U criticised' the action of the Daily B oar d in framing regulations which re claimed would nave rlic effect of price fixing, without acquainting the large percentage of the companies concerned with the nature of the regulations.
It wa s stated by speakers that any attempt to stop t. 0.0. seiLng and control dairy prices iwouid have an adverse effect on the industry.
The meeting endorsed Auckland s resolution of October 13 condemning any interference with the absolute freedom -of the disposal of dairy produce, as being opposed to the best interest of (he industry, and pledging itself to retain unrestricted freedom of action. The meeting conveyed strong disapproval to the board of any interference, and’pledged itself t 0 give full support to Auckland by action. A further resolution was carried that before any attempt be made by the Control Board vo bring proposals into force, the Board should °be asked to circulate details, and an explanation of the proposals to ail the dairy companies in the Domain-
