ATHLETICS
CAMBRIDGE DECISION. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—-Copyright.) LONDON, November 20. With the object of affording English undergraduates .a fair chance to win blues, Cambridge lias barred American and other overseas athletes from competing at inter-varsity sports. This) does not apply to overseas students i taking a full course at Cambridge,, but is directed against American trained athletes, who do a year at Cambridge solely to get a blue. Overseas .. students who complete a year or more at another university are not .eligible to: represent Cambridge at inter-varsity sports, unless under nineteen. The rule will be inforeed in 1934. Officials state a similar regulation in America operates against British athletes, and the retaliation is long overdue. It is noteworthy that there is no such ban at Oxford .
