Captain Brymor Miles, chief officer of the London Salvage Corps, was remanded on bail on a charge of conspiring with Leopold Harris to prevent due administration of justice. When arrested at noon be declared: “It is absolutely preposterous.” 'A' SERIOUS CHARGE. (Received this day- at 11.48 .a.m.) LONDON, November 20. Detectives indicated a more serious charge will be brought against Miles, whereupon the (Magistrate said there must be .heavier bail. Bail was forthcoming, . recognisances . totalling ten thousand .pounds*. . Miles is thirtyeight, and had a distinguished war record. He won the, Military Cross and ■was twice mentioned im despatches.
