BERLIN, November 17

An experifnental exchange of friendly greetings over the ether between the broadcasting services of Japan and Germany took place, oh Nfoveimbev 15. \

The German ambassador at Tokio spoke in German, which was translated into Japanese, after which a Japanese orchestra played' the German national anthem and the “Horst Wessel” song. The Japanese, ambassador at Berlin then spoke, Lis speech being translated 'into German, after which the orchestra of the Berlin State Opera House, played the Japanese national anthem.

Owing to the difference, of times the Berlin part of this exchange of greetings .was recorded on wax discs for repetition as part of the Berlin evening programme, while the Japanese part was sent to Germany direct 011o 11 Wednesday evening.
