County Elections.—Details of the voting in the different Hidings were as follow:—Stafford—Bryue 89, Duff 89: Kanieri—Ghesterman 09, McGuigan 93; Ivokatalii—Norman 91, McCormick 44; Totafa—Bruce 70, Searle 52; Okuru— Grimmond 61, Nightingale-28. In the Stafford Biding, where Messrs Duff a nd Byrne tied, the result wa-s decided by pacing the names in a hat, Mr Duff being elected.

General Election.—Polling in the general election throughout New Zealand took place to-day. In the Westland electorate the result was: Seddon (G) 2811, Michel (G) 2683. Other results were: Buller—J. Colvin (G) 3165, F. F. LMun-ro (G) 2183, V. P. Macnamara (1) 145; Grey—A. R. Gujnnes s (G) 3392, J. Kerr (G) 2276; Motueka —It. McKenzie (G) 1121, F. W. Smith (0) 569. Dredging lie-turns.—Worksop (76 hours), 31oz; Pactolus II (93 hours), 220 z; Pactolus 1 (118 hours), 19oz.
